Evidence-based dementia training
Mandatory for all memory care staff. Managers complete an additional 4 hours. Annual continuing education of 4 hours required thereafter.
Memory care licensing subclass
A new ADHS licensing subclass for facilities providing memory care services. Stricter elopement prevention policies, signage, and drills every shift.
Practitioner evaluations
Medical practitioner evaluations and updated care plans required every six months for each memory care resident.
